Andrea Petrecca, architect and urbanist, earned his Ph.D. in Urbanism at University IUAV of Venice where he has successively been Research Fellow.
He was invited as a tutor in international workshops and took part in research projects as well as in international art and architecture exhibitions(Venice Biennale, Whitney Museum Biennial, Milan Triennale).
Working as a tutor for the Ph.D. in Urbanism at IUAV, he steadily takes part in the didactic activities as well in the research projects developed in the same university, also collaborating with foreign institutions, such as TU Delft, KU Leuven, UPC Barcelona. His research is mainly focused on european territories of dispersion, urban transformations in post-socialist countries and urbanism of exception.
